A Working Woman....very well expressed

Tomorrow you may get a working woman, but you should marry with these facts as well.

Here is a girl, who is as much educated as you are; Who is earning almost as much as you do;

One, who has dreams and aspirations just as you have because she is as human as you are;

One, who has never entered the kitchen in her life just like you or your Sister haven't, as she was busy in studies and competing in a system that gives no special concession to girls for their culinary achievements

One, who has lived and loved her parents & brothers & sisters, almost as much as you do for 20-25 years of her life;

One, who has bravely agreed to leave behind all that, her home, people who love her, to adopt your home, your family, your ways and even your family ,name

One, who is somehow expected to be a master-chef from day #1, while you sleep oblivious to her predicament in her new circumstances, environment and that kitchen

One, who is expected to make the tea, first thing in the morning and cook food at the end of the day, even if she is as tired as you are, maybe more, and yet never ever expected to complain; to be a servant, a cook, a mother, a wife, even if she doesn't want to; and is learning just like you are as to what you want from her; and is clumsy and sloppy at times and knows that you won't like it if she is too demanding, or if she learns faster than you;

One, who has her own set of friends, and that includes boys and even men at her workplace too, those, who she knows from school days and yet is willing to put all that on the back-burners to avoid your irrational jealousy, unnecessary competition and your inherent insecurities; Yes, she can drink and dance just as well as you can, but won't, simply because you won't like it, even though you say otherwise

One, who can be late from work once in a while when deadlines, just like yours, are to be met;

One, who is doing her level best and wants to make this most important relationship in her entire life a grand success, if you just help her some and trust her;

One, who just wants one thing from you, as you are the only one she knows in your entire house - your unstinted support, your sensitivities and most importantly - your understanding, or love, if you may call it.

But not many guys understand this......

A Chinese Story

A long time ago in China, a girl named Li-Li got married & went to live with her husband and mother-in-law. In a very short time, Li-Li found that she couldn't get along with her mother-in-law at all. Their personalities were very different, and Li-Li was angered by many of her mother-in-law's habits. In addition, she criticized Li-Li constantly. Days passed, and weeks passed. Li-Li and her other-in-law never stopped arguing and fighting. But what made the situation even worse was that, according to ancient Chinese tradition, Li-Li had to bow to her mother-in-law and obey her every wish. All the anger and unhappiness in the house was causing Li-Li's poor husband great distress. Finally, Li-Li could not stand her mother-in-Law's bad temper and dictatorship any longer, and she decided to do something about it! Li-Li went to see her father's good friend, Mr. Huang, who sold herbs. She told him the situation and asked if he would give her some poison so that she could solve the problem once and for all. Mr. Huang thought for a while, and finally said, "Li-Li, I will help you solve your problem, but you must listen to me and obey what I tell you." Li-Li said, "Yes, Mr. Huang, I will do whatever you tell me to do." Mr. Huang went into the back room, and returned in a few minutes with a package of herbs. He told Li-Li, "You can't use a quick-acting poison to get rid of your mother-in-law, because that would cause people to become suspicious. Therefore, I have given you a number of herbs that will slowly build up poison in her body. Every other day prepare some delicious meal and put a little of these herbs in her serving. Now, in order to make sure that nobody suspects you, when she dies, you must be very careful to act very friendly towards her. "Don't argue with her, obey her every wish, and treat her like a queen." Li-Li was so happy. She thanked Mr. Huang and hurried home to start her plot of murdering her mother-in-law. Weeks went by, and months went by, and every other day, Li-Li served the specially treated food to her mother-in-law. She remembered what Mr. Huang had said about avoiding suspicion, so she controlled her temper, obeyed her mother-in-law, and treated her like her own mother. After six months had passed, the whole household had changed. Li-Li had practiced controlling her temper so much that she found that she almost never got mad or upset. She hadn't had an argument with her mother-in-law in six months because she now seemed much kinder and easier to get along with. The mother-in-law's attitude toward Li-Li changed, and she began to love Li-Li like her own daughter. She kept telling friends and relatives that Li-Li was the best daughter-in-law one could ever find. Li-Li and her mother-in-law were now treating each other like a real mother and daughter. Li-Li's husband was very happy to see what was happening. One day, Li-Li came to see Mr. Huang and asked for his help again She said, "Dear Mr. Huang, please help me to keep the poison from killing my mother-in-law. She's changed into such a nice woman, and I love her like my own mother. I do not want her to die because of the poison I gave her. "Mr. Huang smiled and nodded his head. "Li-Li, there's nothing to worry about. I never gave you any poison. The herbs I gave you were vitamins to improve her health. The only poison was in your mind and your attitude toward her, but that has been all washed away by the love which you gave to her. "HAVE YOU REALIZED that how you treat others is exactly how they will treat you? There is a wise Chinese saying: "The person who loves others will also be loved in return." God might be trying to work in another person's life through you.

Send this to your friends and spread the POWER OF LOVE. Remember, if you delete this mail nothing will happen. No one will die or fall sick. But... If you send it to others you may change their lives. After all you have got nothing to lose but a lot to gain." A candle loses nothing if it is used to light another one"

Two Angels: Things are not Always what they seem to be

Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy family.

The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the mansion's guest room. Instead the angels were given a space in the cold basement.

As they made their bed on the hard floor, the older angel saw a hole in the wall and repaired it. When the younger angel asked why, the older angel replied... " Things aren't always what they seem".

The next night the pair came to rest at the house of a very poor, but very hospitable farmer and his wife.

After sharing what little food they had the couple let the angels sleep in their bed where they could have a good night's rest. When the sun came up the next morning the angels found the farmer and his wife in tears. Their only cow, whose milk had been their sole income, lay dead in the field.

The younger angel was infuriated and asked the older angel "how could you have let this happen!? The first man had everything, yet you helped him," she accused. "The second family had little but was willing to share everything, and you let their cow die."

"Things aren't always what they seem," the older angel replied. "When we stayed in the basement of the mansion, I noticed there was gold stored in that hole in the wall.

Since the owner was so obsessed with greed and unwilling to share his good fortune, I sealed the wall so he wouldn't find it. Then last night as we slept in the farmers bed, the angel of death came for his wife. I gave her the cow instead. Things aren't always what they seem."

*********

Sometimes this is exactly what happens when things don't turn out the way they should. If you have faith, you just need to trust that every outcome is always to your advantage. You might not know it until some time later.

Good Thoughts

Good thoughts: A fwd Message

Don't compare yourself with any one in this world.
If you compare, you are insulting yourself.

Don't complain about others;
change yourself if you want peace.

It is easier to protect your feet with slippers than
to cover the earth with carpet.

No one can go back and change a bad beginning,
but anyone can start now and create a successful ending.

Easy is to judge the mistakes of others.
Difficult is to recognize our own mistakes.

If a problem can be solved, no need to worry about it.
If problem cannot be solved what is the use of worrying?

"Changing the Face" can change nothing.
But "Facing the Change" can change everything.

Be bold when you loose
and be calm when you win.

No one will manufacture a lock without a key.
Similarly god won't give problems without solutions.

Every successful person has a painful story.
Every painful story has a successful ending.
Accept the pain and get ready for success.

Heated gold becomes ornament. Beaten copper becomes wires. Depleted stone becomes statue. So the more pain you get in life you become more valuable.

Mistakes are painful when they happen.
But year's later collection of mistakes is called experience, which leads to success.

Life laughs at you when you are unhappy...
Life smiles at you when you are happy...
Life salutes you when you make others happy...

If you miss an opportunity don't fill the eyes with tears.
It will hide another better opportunity in front of you.

What was there before Allah?

Many years ago, during the time of the Taabi'een (the generation of Muslims
>after the Sahabah), Baghdad was a great city of Islam. In fact, it was the
>capital of the Islamic Empire and because of the great number of scholars
>who lived there, it was the center of Islamic knowledge. One day, the ruler
>of Rome at that time sent an envoy to Baghdad with three challenges for the
>Muslims. When the messenger reached the city, he informed the Khalifah
>that he had three questions which he challenged the Muslims to answer.
>
>The Khalifah gathered together all the scholars of the city and the Roman
>messenger climbed upon a high platform and said, "I have come with three
>questions. If you answer them, then I will leave with you a great
>amount of wealth which I have brought from the king of Rome.
>As for the questions, they were:
>
>'What was there before Allah?'
>
>'In which direction does Allah face?'
>
>'What is Allah engaged in at this moment?'"
>
>
>The great assembly of people were silent. (Can you think of answers to
>these questions?) In the midst of these brilliant scholars and students of
>Islam, there was a man looking on with his young son. "O my dear father!
>I will answer him and silence him!" said the youth.
>
>So the boy sought the permission of the Khalifah to give the answers and
>he was given the permission to do so.
>The Roman addressed the young Muslim and repeated his first question,
>"What was there before Allah?" The boy asked, "Do you know how to count?"
>"Yes," said the man.
>"Then count down from ten!" So the Roman counted down, "ten, nine,
>eight,
>.." until he reached "one" and he stopped counting. "But what comes
>before
>'one'?" asked the boy.
>"There is nothing before one- that is it!" said the man. "Well then, if
>there obviously is nothing before the arithmetic 'one', then how do you
>expect that there should be anything before the 'One' who is Absolute
>truth, All-Eternal, Everlasting the First, the Last, the Manifest, the
>Hidden?"
>
>
>Now the man was surprised by this direct answer which he could not
>dispute.
>
>So he asked, "Then tell me, in which direction is Allah facing?"
>"Bring a candle and light it," said the boy, "and tell me in which
>direction the flame is facing."
>"But the flame is just light- it spreads in each of the four directions,
>North, South, East and West. It does not face any one direction only,"
>said the man in wonderment.
>The boy cried, "Then if this physical light spreads in all four directions
>such that you cannot tell me which way it faces, then what do you expect of
>the Nur-us-Samawati-wal-'Ard: Allah - the Light of the Heavens and the
>Earth!? Light upon Light, Allah faces all directions at all times."
>
>The Roman was stupefied and astounded that here was a young child answering
>his challenges in such a way that he could not argue against the proofs.
>
>So, he desperately wanted to try his final question. But before doing so,
>the boy said, "Wait! You are the one who is asking the questions and I am
>the one who is giving the answers to these challenges. It is only fair that
>you should come down to where I am standing and that I should go up where
>you are right now, in order that the answers may be heard as clearly as the
>questions.
>
>"This seemed reasonable to the Roman, so he came down from where he was
>standing and the boy ascended the platform. Then the man repeated his final
>challenge, "Tell me, what is Allah doing at this moment?" The boy proudly
>answered, "At this moment, when Allah found upon this high platform a liar
>and mocker of Islam, He caused him to descend and brought him low. And as
>for the one who believed in the Oneness of Allah, He raised him up and
>established the Truth. Every day He exercises (universal) power (Surah 55
>ar-Rahman, Verse 29)."
>
>The Roman had nothing to say except to leave and return back to his country,
>defeated. Meanwhile, this young boy grew up to become one of the most
>famous scholars of Islam. Allah, the Exalted, blessed him with special
>wisdom and knowledge of the Deen (religion). His name was Abu Hanifah
>(rahmatullah alayhi- May Allah have mercy on him) and he is known today as
>Imam Abu Hanifah (Imam-e-Azam), the Great Imam and scholar of Islam.
>
>
>May God bless our youngsters to get islamic knowledge.

The Bank Account of Life

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with R86,400.
It carries over no balance from day to day.
Every " evening" deletes whatever part of the balance you failed to use during the day.
What would you do?
Draw out every cent, of course!!!!
Each of us has such a "bank" It's name is TIME
Every morning , it credits you with 86,400 seconds
Every night it writes off , as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose
It carries over no balance
It allows no overdraft
Each day it opens a new account for you
Each night it burns the remains of the day
If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow."
You must live in the present on today's deposits
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success!
The clock is running .
Make the most of today
To realize the value of ONE YEAR….
ask a student who failed a grade
To realize the value of ONE MONTH…..
ask a mother who gave birth to a premature baby
To realize the value of ONE WEEK……
ask the editor of a weekly newspaper
To realize the value of ONE HOUR……
ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE…..
ask a person who missed the train.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND….
ask a person who just avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLISECOND…..
ask the person who won a silver medal in the Olympics.
Treasure every moment that you have !
And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time. And remember that time waits for no one.u will realise the value of me when u loose me.................

Yesterday is history .
Tomorrow is mystery .
Today is a gift .
That's why it's called …. the Present !!

Friends are a very rare jewel, indeed.
They make you smile and encourage you to succeed.
They lend an ear.
They share a word of praise, and they always want to open their heart to us.
Show your friends how much you care..…

FAITH

"Faith breaks us free from all self-imposed limitations and obstacles from our surroundings. The deeper our faith, the deeper our self discipline, our will power and higher the aims we can draw from it. Physical and intellectual abilities are important, but achieving higher aims is more about the heart than the mind. "

Aim High

This is an inspiring message I came across in Al-Jumuah magazine

" You have one life to do whatever you like with it. Your eternity depends on these few moments that you are living through right now. And our Lord and creator, Allah, didn't leave us without clues as to what we should do and how to pursue it. The message in the Qur'an is very clear: work and you shall be rewarded. Work harder and you shall be rewarded incomparably better. Neither underestimate your potential nor settle for less than the best. AIM HIGH!!!"

I'll be using this blogspot to put up inspiring and encouraging messages and also something of wit and humor. Insha Allah. So that it will help everyone feel better and more optimistic. Insha Allah.
